Created Value v Inherent Worth

To valorize, means to make an absolute and clear distinction between

your inherent worth, which is unquantifiable, and a given (you have life),
and
the created value of your work.

Confusing the two creates a devaluing effect on life itself!

Inherent worth means you are worthy of what you need or desire, even when you don't have it. Your ability to create value is not a reflection of your inherent worth.

Valorize is the practice of valuing the uniquely transformative point of view you bring to your self-led work, so its cultural impact is viable, visible and highly valued.

V A L O R I Z E assumes a condition of unequal starting points; there are systemic forces, power dynamics and inequities that create unequal valuation and barriers to having value be recognised, and self-recognised, within existing systems.

V A L O R I Z E foregrounds personal agency and choice, as one of many antidotes.
